| Log home windows |
There are many myths out about the installation of windows in your log home. The truth is that installing windows in a log home is no different that installing windows in a conventional home- if the log home builder has done it right. Our window openings are cut as per plan plus allowances for settling and framing- so if your log home plan calls for a 4 foot by 5 foot window then we cut the opening to allow for a full 2X10 buck around the entire window as well as proper settling space above the window. Our window trim detail is easy to finish because we cut the window sill, the log wall and the header to accept a flat trim board to frame your window. Our log homes can accept wood or vinyl windows- the choice is yours.
